Taking a Pi break
Happy Pi day!

Happy Pi day!
I am writing this entry as I am taking a short weekend break away from work and family, to spend some time alone with a good friend.
As I dedicate to write a topic on design innovation every month for this year, I tend to think about how we can be effective at work by adopting a set of mindsets and methods around designing an experience innovatively.
This snippet, however, is dedicated to the idea of a break. The pie in the sky is to see work as a constant and consistent engine. And while it may seem counterintuitive to have a break in order to be productive, the reality to pause and reflect helps with a full refreshing of the mind so as to create better and more original work. Take Stefan Sagmeister design sabbath as an example where he takes a year off on the 7th year by closing his studio to recharge.

And so, after weeks of intense work, I’ll be putting down the pen and enjoy the moment.
Here’s to rest on Pi day.
