An overview of Spaceship Earth

When was the last time you felt a sense of awe? Better known as the Overview Effect, astronauts have reportedly experienced a mental clarity just by looking at the whole Earth from a distance.

I, for one like to see things with a different perspective. Just by tilting our gaze, we move away from the typical view of continents, and chance upon the shrinking underbelly of Earth - Antarctica. With climate change being a growing topic, this image of Earth has been a visual reminder for myself on my LinkedIn profile that we as human beings have a big responsibility to play.

Buckminster Fuller once said "We are all astronauts on a little spaceship called Earth"

As innovators and designers, let’s start becoming the "verbs" that are biased towards action! Let’s view the Earth that we live in from a different perspective. And let’s treat the next 24 hours and beyond as our Earth Day.
